Who is VoyageMD for?

VoyageMD is for people with Diabetes who need to Travel. Soon 350 million people will be living with diabetes and at least 25% need to take insulin every day. Travelling with diabetes can be difficult. Lack of information, hassles at the airport, delays, and time zone changes can ruin a trip whether it is for business or pleasure.

 

How will VoyageMD work?

We will be asking hotels and airlines a simple question:

“I have diabetes and I take insulin every day. I need to travel. What do you offer to make my journey easier and safer?”

We will also be asking companies that provide insulin, pens, pumps, blood glucose monitoring equipment and glucose sensors to provide more help for travellers with diabetes.

Not all airlines and hotels are the same. We need to identify the ones that are “diabetes-friendly” to give travellers with diabetes a choice.

Living with diabetes is not easy and it can be a stressful time preparing for a holiday or business trip. At VoyageMD, we hope to make your trip safer and stress-free by offering a new travel experience.

 

Who are We?

VoyageMD has been created by Professor David Kerr and his team specialising in Endocrinology. Professor Kerr is a UK doctor with many years experience in diabetes care and is an authority on the use of technology to help people living with diabetes. His team come from both the UK and from San Francisco in the United States.

 

What do we provide?

We provide not just travel reviews, but specific information on travelling with diabetes.

We have created reviews on hotels, airlines, cruises and train companies with actual responses from the transport providers specifying what equipment or services they provide for people travelling with diabetes. This will ensure that you have all the information needed to prepare yourself to have a pleasant, hassle-free voyage.
